"I should be able to do it!" as I don't work right now

We all carry beliefs and expectations about what it means to be a good Mum.

Because you choose to stay at home with your children right now does not mean that you don't need time to be you and refresh and recharge yourself too!

Because actually being at home with your children, rather than working outside of the home means we don't get the guaranteed:

  • Quiet time

  • Head space

  • Adult time

  • Not being touched all the time

So it's only natural that you crave something. Something for yourself too.

We can only be on top form if we take the time we need to feel refreshed and recharged mentally, physically and emotionally. And it doesn't have to cost much money or take too much time.

It's soooooo important not to become a martyr to motherhood.

That breeds impatience and resentment and is no good for you, your children or your partner.

So keep yourself on top form by doing what's most needed and important to you too.

Ask yourself:

  • What do I need?

  • What do I want?

  • What do I crave?

  • What do I need to do to ensure my kids and my partner get the best of me?

Want help to figure this all out and connect with other Mums that are also feeling this way?

I'm starting a Mama hub reflection evening gathering.
