Get Set for September - Top tips to take advantage of this season & get back on track

Have you felt the September vibes yet?

Heatwaves and holidays in July and August are the perfect time to relax and have fun.

And September is the perfect month to get going again.

Can you feel how nature is ready for a change?

It’s raining as I write this and having completed week 4 of the 6 week school holidays lots of the ladies I’m talking to are ready for the juggle to calm down a notch and for the more regular routine of the school week to return.

Whether you’re a Mum or not you can sense the change in the season everywhere

Companies are selling new pencil cases, laptops and other back to school goodies. The summer berries are making way on the supermarket shelves for autumn fruits and foods aplenty too.

College courses for young and old get started soon and the offices and work gets busy again with less out of office messages popping into your inbox.

Whatever you’re feeling and noticing right now, working with the seasons is known to be the key to more effective personal growth.

Experts agree that September is a better month for making resolutions than January.

For me September is definitely the time I feel more refreshed and ready with new ideas and motivation for my work and hobbies. There’s something lovely about getting stuck into projects in autumn as the weather starts to encourage us to be home more, yet we still feel energetic and have long enough days with good light to get things done.

I don’t know about you, but for me, winter and January are not the times I feel as ready to go, go, go as I do in September. After the chaos and overindulgences of Christmas I need some R&R.

And if you do have kids or a new course starting for you in September, it's definitely the ideal time to get back into, or to start those things you’re really excited to do.

So how do you get set to jump in with all that back to school excitement?

Let me give you some tips on how to go about it.

Here's what else you can do, (on top of buying new stationery), to fulfill some of your own ambitions or make some lifestyle changes, so you can feel your best you and make the most of the time and energy you have right now.

Here’s my 3 top tips:

  1. Start from a place of gratitude and celebration

Recognise all the good in your life and how much you have to be thankful for.

This helps you to start September full of positivity for your life as it is now. It's a super empowering state of mind to be in as it will drive you forwards full hope, confidence and the belief that you can have what you want to be, do and have in your life going forwards.

You can do this simply by writing down 3 things that you loved about your summer. - Write a few notes for each about why those things were amazing.

- What was it about them that you loved?

2. Think about what you want to be, do and have this year and next year too.

I love to encourage people to Dream big and not limit themselves because once you have the vision you can then work out the how. Feel free to dream knowing once you are clear on where you’re headed that the "how" you will achieve it will show up. It will just pop up for you I promise. So just trust and know that you can find your way later.

3. Surround yourself with other people that are making the most of this time too.

Radiators are people that help you keep your dreams, goals, your hope and positivity alive. So make sure to spend your time with these people and avoid the drains that flush your good mood down the loo in just a few minutes of chatting them.

Community is so powerful

By chatting with likeminded people we bring our vision and goals to life. We find our own answers and we find answers in what we hear other people say too.

We really do lift each other up when we have open, honest chats about real life and what we’re going and growing through.

How do you feel now about September?

Are you ready to get started?

Are you ready to start moving towards what you want to be, do and have?

Grab yourself a new notebook and a new or old favourite pen and pencil and start answering the questions I posed to you above.

If you need some help and some radiators to spur you on then I have two options for you:
